Jimi Hendrix has been the ever greatest rock guitar player, the guitar essence, the greatest electrical guitar innovator, inspiring million of future musicians of any musical genre. As only classical or jazz musicians made before him Hendrix named his musical instrument as Charlie Parker made for Saxofone.
Successor of Elvis Presley, Hendrix unified in his music blacks and white fusion (he was born from a Cheyenne mother and afroamerican father). The columns of his musical baggage were blues and jazz, that fused with other contaminations in his style, creating the genre that can be defined psichedelic blues-rock .
His artistical history , as short as intense, given directly to the myth , in an age that musical speaking had not comparisons . On stage was a mix of energies like american bluesmen, as Buddy Guy or Muddy Waters, that inspired him, played guitar with teeth, behind his back, faking sexual relationships with the instrument.
The most used electrical guitar by Hendrix was a Fender Stratocaster ’69, pearl with acer made handle as the keyboard, but the most interesting technical note is the accordion: cords 0.10 accorded a semitone under normal for a sound blues that will distinguish the hendrixian sound. Hendrix built inverted cords to sing the guitar with the left hand to the bridge and the right hand to the keyboard. He used a right hand guitar as a left hand! So in our memory, remains adding to his musical production, still today a real bible for any kind of musicians, the image of the left hand guitar player that, with his Fender Stratocaster, displays the american hymn, relating to the loss of confidence of the american society for human rights and war in Vietnam.
